I don't agree with the way the government spends my money. Do I have to pay taxes?
Sorry. If you have enough income, you do need to pay taxes.
What will happen if I do not pay taxes I owe?
You will incur interest and penalties that will continue to accumulate. If that is not paid, the IRS can attach your assets, bank accounts, investments, etc.
I still owe the IRS money from years ago, and I can't pay it. Is there anything I can do?
Yes, depending on the situation you may be able to settle with the IRS for a lower amount. You may be be able to eliminate the debt in other ways, also. Please call a CPA before you call one of the "IRS Settlement" companies that advertise a lot. It will cost you far less, in aggravation, and money. Contact Us.
Aren't all tax preparers the same? Shouldn't I find the cheapest?
Many many tax preparers are not CPAs or enrolled agents. More on this here.
I didn't get tax forms in the mail from the IRS this year. Why not?
The IRS claims only 8% of the population filed a paper return last year and the IRS is encouraging electronic filing, done by tax preparers or some other form of e filing.
